Jane Pettegree’s doctorate was on early modern theatre and identity. Her book ‘Foreign and Native on the English Stage, 1588-1611’ (Palgrave, 2011) was shortlisted for the Globe Theatre book prize. Before embarking on her PhD, she sang in groups around Scotland including Capella Nova, and has a particular interest in early music.
