Oedipus Rex: Launch Event February 5
Who is Oedipus? A new, visually striking and experimental adaptation of the classical tale is coming to the Byre stage this February. This meta-theatrical and visually striking staging of the Greek tragedy transforms the original text into a modern-day tale about power, memory, identity, and politics. Adapted by Gabriele Uboldi, the show also features original music, videography, sound and choreography. The production is funded by Mermaids and supported by the Centre for the Public Understanding of Greek and Roman Drama (CPUGRD).
